BURLINGTON
Animal complaint
A husky-mix dog, brought to the Police Department Sept. 5, was claimed by a family whose dog was reported stolen. When the family got home, they realized the dog was not theirs and returned it. The dog was claimed by its owner that day while the other dog is still missing.
Drugs
A 17-year-old Burlington boy was arrested Sept. 6 on allegations of possession of drug paraphernalia on Wainwright Ave. at Mary St. He and two other 17-year-old Burlington boys were arrested on allegations of underage possession of alcohol.
Disorderly conduct
while armed A 54-year-old Burlington man was arrested Sept. 3 on allegations of disorderly conduct while armed, endangering safety while armed and endangering safety while armed and intoxicated in the 700 block of Milwaukee Ave. The man, who admitted carrying the gun but not pointing it, became angry when juveniles rang the doorbell of his apartment by mistake.
Suspicious
A resident called police Sept. 8 when she found a pair of shoes outside her door, one with an open can of tuna fish inside, in the 600 block of Foxtree Circle. No entry had been gained to her residence.
Theft
An American flag worth $50 was stolen Sept. 6 in the 800 block of Cedar Drive.
Hand tools worth more than $300 were stolen Sept. 5 from the 200 block of Johnson St.
TOWN OF BURLINGTON
Traffic offense
A 27-year-old Burlington man was arrested Sept. 4 on allegations of drunken driving, driving after revocation and lane deviation after he almost ran into a squad car on McHenry St. at Yahnke Road.
Vandalism
Three mailboxes were run over by a car Sept. 5 in the 600 and 700 blocks of S. Teut Road.
CALEDONIA
Criminal damage
A 12-year-old Caledonia boy was arrested Sept. 7 on allegations of two counts of criminal damage and trespassing after he kicked in a large window at Caddy Vista School, 10010 Duane Court. The boy was taken to St. Mary's Hospital for treatment of a badly bleeding leg.
A Jeep was found covered with deep scratches Aug. 27 in the 4200 block of Harvest Lane. More than $3,000 of damage was reported.
A car's rear window was smashed Sept. 2 in the 2000 block of Dustir Drive, causing $150 in damage.
Disorderly conduct
A 26-year-old Kenosha man was arrested Sept. 5 on allegations of reckless driving and failure to use a child safety seat for a child under 4 in the 6600 block of Bobolink Road. The man was picking up his daughter when police were called. A 25-year-old Caledonia woman, the child's mother, was arrested on allegations of disorderly conduct and violating a temporary restraining order.
A 21-year-old Racine man was arrested Sept. 2 on allegations that he yelled and swore at a clerk when he was denied the purchase of herbal energizers because he failed to show identification at Speedway, 4960 Douglas Ave. The man returned with ID but the clerk felt threatened by his behavior and again denied the purchase.
A 17-year-old Caledonia boy was arrested Sept. 6 on allegations that he shot paint balls at cars in the 9900 block of Caddy Lane. He denied the charges.
Drugs
A 35-year-old South Milwaukee woman was arrested Sept. 6 on allegations of possession of 4.4 grams of cocaine, open intoxicants, drunken driving and disorderly conduct after she yelled obscenities and threatened truckers in the 1500 block of 3 Mile Road, saying they would not tell her how to get to Milwaukee. She drove to the 4300 block of Woodview Lane to ask for directions, where she was arrested.
Liquor violation
A 17-year-old South Milwaukee boy was mailed citations Sept. 4 for underage drinking and obstruction on allegations that he used his brother's name when he was arrested in June for underage drinking in Caledonia.
Theft
An ATV worth $1,200 was stolen Aug. 31 or Sept. 1 from the 7400 block of County V.
MOUNT PLEASANT
Battery
A 22-year-old man said he was battered Sept. 5 by several people at the Island West bar, 6501 Washington Ave.
Burglary
Items worth more than $500 were stolen Sept. 2 from a home in the 2100 block of Mead St.
Criminal damage
A vehicle's window was broken Aug. 29 at Case West, 5729 Washington Ave., causing $200 damage.
CDs and items worth a total of more than $500 were stolen from a vehicle at Ray Wilkinson Buick/Cadillac, 6001 Washington Ave., causing $700 damage to the vehicle's window and trunk lock.
An estimated $300 damage occurred Aug. 30 to a vehicle at Case High School, 7345 Washington Ave.
A rock was used Sept. 2 to break a window on a vehicle in the 2000 block of Meachem Road, causing $600 damage.
An estimated $200 in damage occurred Sept. 4 to a construction trailer in the 3600 block of Wood Road.
Two windows were broken out of a home Sept. 5 in the 4800 block of Flambeau Drive, causing $400 damage.
Fraud
A counterfeit $50 bill was passed Sept. 6 at Wal-Mart, 3049 S. Oakes Road.
Theft
A backpack with contents worth $75 was stolen Aug. 29 from a student at Case High School, 7345 Washington Ave.
A stereo worth $300 was stolen Aug. 29 from a vehicle at Gentile Oldsmobile, 6801 Washington Ave., causing $300 damage.
A stolen vehicle worth $4,000 was recovered Aug. 29 in the area of 22nd and Clark streets.
A purse with contents worth $50 was stolen Sept. 2 from a customer at Wal-Mart, 3049 S. Oakes Road. The purse was recovered, minus its contents.
Two 17-year-old girls were arrested Sept. 2 on allegations shoplifting after stealing makeup worth an estimated $50 from Wal- Mart, 3049 S. Oakes Road.
A camera and other items worth a total of $200 were stolen Sept. 3 from a vehicle at Kohl's Department Store, 5500 Washington Ave.
A 22-year-old man was arrested Sept. 5 after officers responded to the lot of Kohl's Department Store, 5500 Washington Ave., to investigate a theft complaint. Items from a previous theft were found in the man's possession.
A 30-year-old woman was arrested Sept. 6 for theft after she stole clothing worth $300 from Kohl's Department Store, 5500 Washington Ave.
NORWAY/WIND LAKE
Vandalism
A car's windshield was found smashed Sept. 2 in the 800 block of Bluebird Lane, causing an unknown amount of damage. A rock about 1 foot in diameter was found near the car.
A car's hood ornament was stolen Sept. 3 in the 6900 block of S. Loomis Road, causing an unknown amount of damage.

Arson
A nylon political banner was ignited around 8:40 p.m. Sept. 5 as it hung on the D.P. Wigley Building, 234 Wisconsin Ave.
Burglary
A cordless phone worth $100 and $100 in cash were stolen Sept. 5 from a home in the 1800 block of Clark St.
A 52-year-old man was charged Sept. 6 with burglary after he entered a home and stole three packs of cigarettes worth $12 and a $150 cell phone in the 1300 block of Superior St.
A pair of earrings worth $200 and $330 in cash were stolen Sept. 5 from an apartment in the 1900 block of Taylor Ave.
A tool set worth $560 and a bicycle worth $300 were stolen Sept. 5 or 6 from a garage in the 3500 block of Poe Ave.
Two jackets worth $100 and $500 were stolen between Sept. 5 and 7 from a home in the 1600 block of Thurston Ave.
A television worth $240 was stolen between Aug. 31 and Sept. 2 from an apartment in the 2400 block of Jacato Drive.
A bicycle worth $160 was stolen Sept. 8 or 9 from a garage in the 2400 block of 20th St.
Three movies worth $60 and a DVD worth $80 were stolen Sept. 10 from a home in the 500 block of 11th St.
Criminal damage
A brick was thrown through a window Sept. 3 at Jardina Realty, 1648 Douglas Ave.
Two marble crypt lids were damaged between Aug. 30 and Sept. 3 at the Graceland Cemetery, 3547 Osbourne Blvd., causing $2,000 damage.
A door window was broken Sept. 9 on a home in the 200 block of Ohio St., causing $50 damage.
A hammer was used to break a window on a vehicle Sept. 10 at a residence in the 900 block of Peck Ave.
Drowning
A 40-year-old Illinois woman died just after 4 p.m. Sept. 9 after she was pulled from Lake Michigan at North Beach, 88 Kewaunee St. The woman had dived into the lake from a boat and failed to surface. Companions of the woman started CPR on her and paramedics continued life saving efforts en route to the hospital, where she died.
Robbery
A 36-year-old woman was robbed just after midnight Sept. 6 of a purse containing three credit cards and $20 by a man in the 1700 block of East St.
The U.S. Payday Loan Office, 3123 Washington Ave., was robbed around 4:45 p.m. Sept. 10 by an armed man.
Shots fired
Officers responding to an alarm just after noon Sept. 2 at Community Credit Union, 1313 High St., were fired upon in the 1700 block of Charles St. The officers took cover behind their squad car and requested assistance. An area check by officers found nothing. No injuries were reported.
