Arson
The interior of a vehicle parked in the 300 block of N. 40th St. was set on fire at 4:11 a.m. Dec. 5.
Garbage cans were started on fire in the 800 block of N. 16th St. after two men who were playing with matches dropped them inside the cans at 4:15 p.m. Dec. 3.
Someone threw an accelerant through the front window of a residence in the 3000 block of N. 29th St. that caught fire at 8 p.m. Dec. 6.
Burglary
Someone forced entry into a residence in the 2400 block of N. 33rd St. causing damage, between 10 a.m. and noon Dec. 2. A debit card, phones, a VCR, a permit and miscellaneous items were reported missing.
A large rock was thrown through a kitchen window to enter a residence in the 4600 block of N. 36th St., between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. Dec. 2. A box, movies, games and a DVD player were stolen.
Someone removed a safe and money from Payday Loan Store, 5502 W. Center St., at 2:30 a.m. Dec. 2. The front door had been forced open for entry and a second door was entered by unknown means. The actors took the safe, dragging it through an alley. The actors fled with the safe by vehicle.
A burglar stole coins from coin-operated washing and drying machines at Crown Coin Meter Co., 5350 N. Lovers Lane, between 3:42 a.m. and 4:08 p.m. Dec. 4.
A burglar climbed through a locked bedroom window in the 2200 block of E. Belleview Place and stole a computer, a camera, a stereo and other electronic equipment between 4 p.m. Nov. 29 and 4:30 p.m. Dec. 3.
A burglar entered an unlocked apartment in the 3400 block of N. 60th St. and stole a gun between noon and 3 p.m. Dec. 3.
A burglar stole money, a leather jacket, DVDs and a belt from a home in the 4800 block of N. 18th St. between 7 a.m. Dec. 1 and 1 p.m. Dec. 4.
A burglar broke a window to gain entry to a home in the 4500 block of N. 71st St. and stole jewelry between 5:15 and 9:20 p.m. Dec. 4.
Someone entered a residence in the 4500 block of W. Medford Ave. sometime from 6:30 p.m. Nov. 25 to 8:30 a.m. Nov. 26. A computer, camcorder, camera, purse, checkbook and wallet were reported stolen.
Someone entered Ed-U-Care Academy, 4908 N. 26th St., about 3:34 a.m. Nov. 19. A microwave, a television, a DVD player, a VCR, a radio, a vacuum, a blender and a telephone were reported stolen.
Someone entered a vacant house in the 5700 block of N. 76th St. A compressor, paint sprayer, tools, faucets, paint and other items were reported missing at 9 a.m. Nov. 29. Someone entered a gas station in the 6000 block of W. Villard St. after throwing a brick through the front door. About $400 worth of cigarettes were stolen at about 2 a.m. Dec. 1.
JJ Fish and Chicken, 2410 N. King Drive, was entered after a window was broken. Money from an unlocked cash register was stolen at 2:30 a.m. Nov. 30.
Someone entered a home in the 4200 block of N. 68th St. by breaking a bedroom window. A television, a DVD player, jewelry and video games were reported missing from the home at 9:50 p.m. Nov. 30.
Radio Shack, 1616 W. Wisconsin Ave., was entered through an unlocked door without consent. Two dozen cell phones, CD players and a radio were stolen at 5:50 a.m. Dec. 4.
Someone entered a residence in the 6400 block of W. Carmen Ave. between 10:30 p.m. Dec. 2 and 10:30 p.m. Dec. 5. A computer, a fax machine, a video game, a wallet and checks were reported stolen.
Someone entered a residence in the 1500 block of W. Hadley St. between 6 p.m. Dec. 2 and 9 a.m. Dec. 3 by forcing open a screen window. A computer, a stereo, two televisions and a DVD player were reported stolen.
Someone entered a residence in the 4200 block of N. 68th St. between 2and 10:30 p.m. Dec. 5. A DVD player, alcohol, a camera and jewelry were reported stolen.
Robbery
Two unknown men approached a 48-year-old man and his friend in the 3400 block of W. Vliet St. at 2:05 p.m. Dec. 2. One of the men pulled out a gun, demanded and obtained money from one of the victims. The other man then punched the victim in the face before they both fled on foot.
A man with a limp stopped a 29-year-old man in the 3000 block of N. 2nd St., 2:45 p.m. Dec. 2. He told the victim he had a gun and usually mugged people. The victim feared it was not a threat, and gave the man $3.
An armed and masked person entered Jeffers Ace Hardware, 8325 W. Lisbon Ave., and took money from the cash register at 11:32 a.m. Dec. 3.
A 15-year-old boy was robbed at gunpoint while walking home from school in the 1600 block of W. Capitol Drive, 2:55 p.m. Dec. 2. The boy was approached by three suspects. One of them was armed. Another suspect demanded the boy's property, while a third took his property. All three suspects fled on foot. A cell phone, a watch, a book bag, a calculator, a book, notebooks and money were reported stolen.
Someone stole a bicycle from a 16-year-old boy in the 2300 block of W. Fond du Lac Ave. at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 7. The boy was riding the bike when he was approached by a man who punched him in the face and fled with the boy's bike.
A 28-year-old woman had her purse stolen while she waited for a bus in the 3100 block of W. Highland Blvd. at 5:51 p.m. Dec. 1. Two suspects approached the victim and one of them struck her in the head with a hard object to get her purse.
An 80-old-man was robbed in the 3300 block of N. 10th St. at 9:15 a.m. Dec. 5 when an armed robber approached and demanded money.
A masked robber entered U-Haul, 7677 W. Appleton Ave., and demanded money at 6:40 p.m. Dec. 4.
A 37-year-old man was stopped by an armed man in the 5300 block of N. 35th St., at 6:20 p.m. Dec. 1. The man demanded and received the victim's wallet and money.
A cab driver was robbed at gunpoint and shot while sitting in his cab in the 2900 block of N. Weil St. at 11:22 p.m. Dec. 1. Two suspects approached the man, and one of them pulled out a gun and demanded the victim's money. The victim gave them his money, totaling $36. The suspects stepped away from the cab, fired three to four shots in the cab's direction and struck the victim in the right upper thigh.
A 17-year-old boy was robbed in the 3700 block of N. 22nd St. about 3:45 p.m. Dec. 1. Two robbers approached the boy, who was walking through an alley to his home, and produced a handgun and demanded money. A book bag, a CD player, DVDs, boots and money were reported stolen.
A 71-year-old woman was robbed in the 3300 block of N. 9th St. after answering her door. She was pushed to the ground and money was stolen at 4:15 p.m. Dec. 1.
A 19-year-old man was robbed in the 5800 block of W. Hampton Ave. after he was approached while standing at a bus stop by someone who asked him for a cigarette. The man was tackled and money was stolen at 5:30 a.m. Dec. 1.
A 47-year-old man was robbed in the 3500 block of W. Garfield St. after being approached by a robber with a gun. Money was stolen from the man at 10:15 a.m. Dec. 4.
A 21-year-old man was robbed in the 4200 block of N. 14th St. after being approached while entering his car by a robber with an unknown object. Money and keys were stolen at 9:20 p.m. Dec. 3.
A 42-year-old man was robbed in the 3900 block of N. Sherman Blvd. while standing at a bus stop. A robber with a gun stole a purse, money, identification and a cell phone at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 3.
A 22-year-old woman was robbed in the 2000 block of W. Capitol Dr. after she was approached by a robber with a gun. A vehicle, a wallet, money, credit and gift cards were stolen at about 12 a.m. Dec. 3.
A 23-year-old man was robbed in the 3500 block of W. Capitol Dr. after he was approached by a robber with a gun. Money, a jacket, a cell phone and other personal items were stolen at 7:10 p.m. Dec. 13.
A 62-year-old man was robbed in the 2500 block of N. 27th St. at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 5 when two men approached him from behind, choked him and demanded his money. A wallet, a credit card, cash and a gift card were reported stolen.
A 34-year-old woman was robbed in the 3100 block of N. Sherman Blvd. at 7 p.m. Dec. 5 when she was approached by three men armed with a handgun who demanded and obtained her money.
A 51-year-old woman was robbed in the 1900 block of N. 20th St. at 6:20 p.m. Dec. 6 when she was approached by a man who held an object to her back that she believed was a gun and demanded her property. A purse, cash, identification and personal papers were reported stolen.
A 16-year-old boy was robbed in the 200 block of N. Honey Creek Parkway at 5 p.m. Dec. 3 when he was approached by two men who told him to empty his pockets, and hit him when he refused, causing the boy's money to fall to the ground. The men fled on foot with the boy's money.
Silver Spring Tap, 3530 W. Silver Spring Drive, was robbed when two men armed with a handgun entered at 12:04 a.m. Dec. 7 and demanded and obtained money.
