Arson

Someone started a fire in the passenger seat of a vehicle in the 2600 block of N. 8th St. July 8.

Burglary

A burglar damaged the front door of Fastenal Tools, 123 E. Knapp St., to gain entry before stealing tools from the store July 11.

A burglar removed a screen from a window at a home in the 1700 block of N. Franklin Place before stealing money July 12 or 13.

A burglar forced open and damaged a rear door at Reformation Church, 2979 N. 21st St., before stealing microphones and speakers July 11 or 12.

A burglar smashed a front bay widow at B.M.C. Academy, 2542 N. 29th St., before taking a TV, computer and microwave between July 9 and 12.

A burglar attempted to enter Ogden and Co., 2111 W. Wisconsin Ave., July 4. Nothing was taken.

A burglar pried off a screen and a window to gain entry at Havenwood Nursing and Rehabilitation, 3333 W. Highland Blvd., before stealing a cash box and money sometime July 9 to 11.

A burglar smashed a window to gain entry at A.O. Smith Corp., 12100 W. Park Place, before stealing a computer and credit card July 9.

Someone entered Mid City Auto, 2431 N. 30th St., sometime July 4 to 9, by crawling underneath an electrical fence. Aluminum and aluminum rims were reported stolen.

Two computers were stolen from Hare Strigenz Design, 306 N. Milwaukee St., sometime July 2 to 6 by prying open the front door.

A DVD player, DVDs and a cordless phone were stolen from a residence in the 3900 block of N. 27th St. on July 5 or 6. The suspect entered the home through a damaged porch door.

Pictures worth $3,000 were stolen and a parking entrance gate was damaged July 5 at Extenicare, 103 W. Michigan St.

A computer was stolen from Time Warner Cable, 10130 W. Appleton Ave., July 7. Someone entered the front door by prying it open.

Someone entered Marell's Beauty Salon, 7251 W. Appleton Ave., sometime July 5 to 7 by forcing open the lock on a sliding door. Money and a cash register were reported stolen.

Steel rods were reported stolen from Clarke Manufacturing, 3000 W. Clarke St., July 8 or 9 by pounding a hole in the building wall.

A TV and phone were stolen from the Potawatomi Administration Building, 313 N. 13th St., June 20.

Bank bags were stolen from Family Dollar, 2510 W. North Ave., July 8 or 9.

Someone entered Bank One, 2323 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, June 18 by prying open the lobby doors. The burglars cut the phone lines in an attempt to disable the alarms.

Metal pipes were stolen from Clarke Manufacturing, 3000 W. Clarke St., July 7 or 8 by smashing through a wall.

A TV, shoes, toilet paper and clothing were stolen from Repairers of Breach, 1335 W. Vliet St. on July 9 or 10. Someone forced open a basement door to enter the building.

A burglar entered a residence in the 3100 block of W. Mount Vernon Ave. July 13 by removing a window screen. The burglar grabbed a bicycle and fled after being confronted by a resident.

Metal was reported stolen from Schuster Metal, 2206 N. 30th St., by prying off a panel of a loading door July 13.

Cell phones and postage stamps were stolen from Isco Maintenance, 1818 N. Water St., July 12 or 13.

Someone entered a residence in the 3100 block of N. Buffum St. by forcing open a door July 12 or 13. Tools, a ladder and a camera were reported stolen.

Someone entered a garage in the 3200 block of N. 24th St. by cutting a lock on July 12 or 13. A vehicle, charger and compressor were reported stolen.

Homicide

A man was killed in the 900 block of N. 9th St. at 2 a.m. July 13.

A 99-year-old Milwaukee woman was killed while walking on the sidewalk in the 2500 block of N. Martin Luther King Drive when she hit by a speeding car July 11.

A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was killed in the 2700 block of W. Capitol Drive on July 12.

Robbery

A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was robbed in the 2500 block of N. 19th St. when four armed robbers took money and a gun from him July 11.

A 60-year-old Milwaukee woman was robbed in the 2900 block of W. Fond du Lac Ave. on July 11 when four robbers approached. One robber presented his hand wrapped in a white towel, implying it was gun, before demanding money.

Sentry Foods, 9210 W. Lisbon Ave., was robbed when three armed robbers entered and stole money July 11.

A 35-year-old Milwaukee woman was robbed in the 2300 block of N. Holton St. when a robber first begged for money. When the victim refused, the robber grabbed her purse and punched and kicked her when she refused to let go. The robber ran off with the purse July 12.

A 44-year-old Milwaukee woman was robbed when a group of six robbers surrounded her in the 4200 block of W. North Ave., displayed a tire iron and took her purse before running off July 13.

A 28-year-old man was robbed in the 500 block of N. 35th St. July 8. A robber approached the man and punched him in the face. A CD player was reported stolen.

A 19-year-old man was robbed in the 1300 block of W. Olive St. on July 9. A robber approached the man, who was seated in his car, leaned into a window and pointed a handgun at him, demanding money. Money, a phone and keys were reported stolen.

A 24-year-old was robbed in the 2500 block of N. 19th St. July 11. The robbers were armed with a handgun. Money was reported stolen.

A 19-year-old woman was robbed in the 4300 block of N. Teutonia Ave. July 6. Robbers approached the woman, engaged her in conversation, struck her in the face, and grabbed her purse and money.

A 28-year-old man was robbed in the 1400 block of N. 34th St. on July 8. Three robbers armed with a handgun approached the man, chased him and then returned to his vehicle and took candy.

A 23-year-old man was shot and robbed in the 1600 block of N. 36th St. July 7. A robber armed with a handgun approached the man, demanded money, and fired several shots, striking the victim in the foot.

Three people armed with a handgun entered a residence in the 2300 block of N. 17th St. on July 7 through an unlocked door. The robbers forced two of the residents into the bathroom at gunpoint and left without taking any property.

A 44-year-old woman was robbed in the 2500 block of N. 21st St. July 8. A robber approached the woman from behind and struck her in the back of the head, causing temporary unconsciousness. Money, jewelry and a purse were reported stolen.

A 21-year-old woman was robbed in the 2200 block of N. 46th St. July 9. Two robbers approached her from behind, grabbed her purse, pushed her to the ground and hit her in the face. A purse was reported stolen.

A 23-year-old man was robbed in the 3700 block of N. Port Washington Road on July 11. A robber punched the man and fled. Food was reported stolen.

Kentucky Fried Chicken, 1903 W. Capitol Drive, was robbed July 10. Two robbers wearing masks pointed a handgun at an employee and demanded money.

A 55-year-old man was robbed in the 2800 block of N. 54th St. July 9. A robber entered the man's residence, struck him in the face and head with a flashlight and demanded property. Money, a wallet, credit cards and checkbook were reported stolen.

An armed robber entered Payday Loan, 6917 W. Brown Deer Road, at July 14, demanded money and bound victims with duct tape before fleeing the scene.

A 31-year-old woman was robbed in the 3800 block of N. Palmer St. at 9:15 p.m. July 13 when a man armed with a metal object approached her while she was stopped at a stop sign in her vehicle. A purse was reported stolen.

An 89-year-old woman was robbed in the 3700 block of W. Keefe Ave. at July 13. A man riding a bicycle approached the woman from behind and grabbed her purse containing money and keys as she was walking toward her vehicle.

A 20-year-old woman was robbed in the 5500 block of W. Fond du Lac Ave. July 13. The woman was approached from behind by three men who pushed her to the ground, took her property and fled in a vehicle. A purse, money and a planner were reported stolen.

A 39-year-old man was robbed in the 2700 block of N. 54th St. on July 14. The man was approached by three men armed with a handgun who demanded his property. A ring, watch, bracelet, wallet and cash were reported stolen.
