FICS Enhances Online Mortgage Lending With New Version of iNetAp; New Enhancements Personalize Loan Application Process for Both Borrowers and Lenders
SAN FRANCISCO -- Financial Industry Computer Systems, Inc. (FICS), a mortgage technology specialist that provides in-house residential loan origination technology to the mortgage industry, announced today at the 91st Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) Annual Convention & Expo, a re-engineered version of iNetAp(TM), its online mortgage loan application tool used in conjunction with FICS' loan origination system, Loan Producer(R).
iNetAp, which enables Loan Producer customers to receive loan applications from prospective borrowers via the Internet 24x7, now includes new customization options giving financial institutions the ability to choose a Web page color scheme from a variety of layouts. Instead of displaying a series of Web pages that might differ in color from the institution's site, a lender can now customize the online loan application process, insuring more consistent branding throughout its Web site.
Historically, the biggest challenge for lenders regarding online mortgage lending has been getting borrowers to successfully complete the application process. Often, a lender's online application is too time consuming or will require information from a borrower that he or she does not have readily available. New features in iNetAp, including the lender's ability to control required information and indicators denoting the completion of that information by the borrower, encourage higher levels of submission through a more intuitive and concise application process.
"As borrowers become more comfortable with doing business online, and online offerings become more sophisticated, it is imperative for lenders to be able to provide information and services to their borrowers as effectively via the Internet as they do in person," said Dawn Gibbs, president and CEO of FICS. "With these latest enhancements, iNetAp continues to evolve as an effective tool for lenders to establish online relationships with potential borrowers and increase loan volumes through the Internet channel."
