Mortgage broker st louis
Nonprofits team up with St. Louis charities
The Missouri Association of Mortgage Brokers and the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women teamed up to provide holiday cheer for two local charities by hosting a holiday party for their members and guests, with a silent auction that raised $850 for the Family Support Network and Lydia's House.
The MAMB will be contributing its share of the proceeds to FSN, a Webster Groves-based nonprofit that provides in-home family therapy and parenting skills to parents in the St. Louis area to prevent child abuse and neglect.
The NAPMW will be donating its half of the proceeds to Lydia's House, a St. Louis-based charity that provides abused women and children housing and community life for six to 24 months while they work on educational, employment and counseling goals to continue their transition to safety.
The Missouri Association of Mortgage Brokers is always happy to spend a little extra time and money to give back to the community, said Lisa Meissner, MAMB assistant director, in a statement.
Silent auction items were donated and bid upon by 125 MAMB and NAMPW members and guests. Some of the silent auctions included a trip to Branca Salon and Spa, gift certificates to Face and the body, Morgan Street Brewery and Outback Steakhouse. Other silent auction items consisted of handmade stockings, four tickets to the Missouri River Otters and a digital camera.
The holiday party was underwritten by A+ Credit Solutions, AIG, American Brokers Conduit, Del Mar Database, Franklin American Mortgage, GN Mortgage, Land America Commonwealth, MGIC, National City Home Equity, Radian, Titles Insurance Agency Inc., MAMB and NAPMW members and guests.
