MICHAEL EDWARD BAIRD

Michael Edward Baird, 62, of Colorado Springs, died Tuesday, October 21, 2003, at Penrose Main.


He was born February 6, 1941 in Beloit, KS. He worked at Stresscon Corp., for 26 years, retiring in 1992. He married Elaine Fresquez in 1970.

He is survived by his wife Elaine; sons Shane and Jeremy (Cami) Baird, all of Colorado Springs; a brother, Gary Baird of Berthod, CO; two sisters, Pat Richard of Las Vegas, NV and Debbie Garcia of Greeley, CO.

Mass will be said on Saturday, October 25, 2003, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 6455 BrookPark Drive, Colorado Springs, at 12:00 Noon.

RAY D. LIRLEY JR.

Ray went to be with the Lord on October 22, 2003. Ray was born on February 11, 1924 in Edna, KS, to Raymond and Elizabeth Lirley.

Ray is survived by his wife, Vala Lirley of Colorado Springs; two sons, Kenneth Lirley of Clino Valley, AZ; and Rick Lirley of Colorado Springs. He is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. Four sisters, Hazel Piatt, Alice Stuart, Opal Cyr and Patricia Schloutz also survive him, along with many nieces and nephews.

Ray was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2003 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., at Mountain View Mortuary.

Graveside service, Monday, October 27, 2003 at 9:30 a.m., at Memorial Gardens with a Memorial service to follow at 10:30 a.m., at New Life Church, 110254 Highway 83 North.

GARY (RADAR) WEBB

Gary (Radar) Webb, 47, a local plumber, departed this life on October 21, 2003 in Colorado Springs.

Gary was born on June 3, 1956 in Fort Knox, KY, to Jason and Blanche Webb, who both preceded him in death.

He is survived by two daughters, Kierstin Renee (Webb) Schreffler (23), and Ashley Nicole Webb (17). Gary is also survived by his five year old grandson, Dakota Reid Schreffler, and his only sister, Gale (Webb) Burtt.

He served faithfully in his church, Rocky Mountain Calvary Chapel, and also rode proudly with the local chapter of Soldiers For Jesus. In his spare time, he enjoyed being with his family and many friends. He also volunteered time at the Dale House to help rehabilitate at risk children, making sure to touch the lives of everyone he came into contact with.

Gary is loved more than words can express, and he will be eternally missed!

ANTHONY FITZGERALD GRAYSON

Anthony Fitzgerald Grayson, age 39, a long time resident of Colorado Springs who was sent to us from heaven on November 22, 1963, returned to the arms of our Heavenly Father on October 21, 2003 after an unexpected illness.

Anthony was an officer in the United States Air Force from 1987 to 1993 after which he became a reserve Major. As a youngster he was a senior patrol leader with the Boys Scouts of America. He spent all of his formative years in Germany and graduated from General H.H. Arnold High School in Wiesbaden, Germany. He was an avid skier and member of the International Brotherhood of Black Skiers, enjoyed mountain biking, traveling, and keeping in contact with former classmates, he loved to cook and entertain as well as compose customized music selections for his family and friends. Anthony received his Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science from Troy State University, Alabama in 1987, where he was initiated in the Xi Theta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Anthony received his Master's of Business Administration degree from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs in 1997. He was also a member of the National Black MBA Association. Anthony was a licensed mortgage and real estate broker; he was Systems Engineer for IBM and loved computer technology.

Anthony is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Thurman Grayson; maternal grandfather, Garnell Matthews; and his maternal grandmother, Beatrice East Caldwell. He is survived by his spouse, Israeline Johnson of Sacramento, CA; his beloved son, Neiman of Snellville, GA, his parents Roderick and Gaynell Grayson of Colorado Springs; his sisters Jennifer Quarles and Gayle (William) Johnson both of Colorado Springs; his brother Roderick (Michelle) Grayson II, of Everett, WA; his grandmother, Eugenia Grayson-Howard of Fort Wayne, IN, and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, extended family, his Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity brothers and many, many friends.

Anthony enjoyed his life to the fullest and brought joy and excitement to his friends and family. He will be surely missed.

His homegoing services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., at Peterson Air Force Base Chapel on Monday, October 27, 2003. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs.

HAZEL MAXINE McNULTY

December 24, 1911 - October 12, 2003

Maxine died peacefully on October 12, in Colorado Springs. Funeral services and burial were held in Greybull, WY, on October 17. She was preceded in death by Howard McNulty, her husband of 64 years, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors are her daughter Nola (Tom) Lange, son Jack (Neeltje) McNulty, seven grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Colorado Springs Senior Homes or Odyssey Hospice.

MARY KAY INGRAM

Mary Catharine "Mary Kay" Ingram, a retired civil service employee and long time Avon(r) representative, passed away Monday, October 20, 2003, at Penrose Hospital.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 25, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 846 E. Pikes Peak Ave. Inurnment for Mary Kay will be at a later date at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.

Mary Kay was born October 1, 1922, in Harrisburg, PA, to Rose Catharine Osler and Richard Franklin Weaver. She served in the USNR WAVES from 1942 to 1944, and was in the first regiment to train at Hunter College in New York City. A member of VFW Auxiliary 101 and WAVES National, she was instrumental in the 1978 founding of the Pikes Peak WAVES.

She moved to Colorado Springs in 1964, and began working at the Air Force Academy shortly thereafter. On February 13, 1971, she married fellow Academy employee James J. Ingram, who survives her. She is also survived by her daughters, Judy (Terry) Gaddess of Wheaton, IL, Sharon (Jim) Finn of Mt. Shasta, CA, Cheri (Richard) Peace of Colorado Springs, and Barbara (David) Edsall of Windsor, CO; 13 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren

Her first husband, David G. Candler, USN, her sister Phoebe W. Orris, and two grandsons preceded Mary in death.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church 846 E. Pikes Peak Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903, or the Sacred Heart Catholic Church food pantry, 2030 W. Colorado Ave, Colorado Springs. CO 80904. Service arrangements are being conducted by The Blunt Mortuary of Colorado Springs.

WINIFRED EILENE GALLIA Born Nov. 27, 1924. Died Oct. 22, 2003. Retired, Survived by her husband, Noel. Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, Fountain.

LT. COL. RONALD E. KIRKLAND Born Dec. 2, 1930. Died Oct. 18, 2003. Army, 27-year Colorado Springs resident. Survived by his wife, Thongsri; a son, Jeffery; and a daughter, Keri. Colorado Springs Mortuary and Cremation Services.

VIVIAN PASSEHL Born Oct. 17, 1918. Died Oct. 23, 2003. Bartender, 45-year Colorado Springs resident.
