APPOINTED
David A. Brukardt has been appointed to the Spokane Airport Board by the office of the mayor. Brukardt is filling the uncompleted term of Thomas Rice through Dec. 31, 2004, at which time he will be eligible for reappointment. Brukardt is the chief communication officer and vice president of corporate relations and strategic planning for Avista Corp. Brukardt, who has more than 25 years of senior-level national and global experience in the combined areas of investor and corporate communication and strategy, joined Avista Corp. in 1999 as vice president of investor relations.
Tamara Degitz has been appointed executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Idaho. Degitz, who replaces retiring executive director Norm Mahoney, is a graduate of the University of Idaho.
KUDOS
Numerica Credit Union's President and CEO Dennis Cutter has received a 2003 World Council of Credit Unions Distinguished Service Award. The award, presented to only six other individuals, recognizes outstanding contributions to the international credit union movement.
Philip M. Hudson, D.D.S. has been recognized as a Standard Proficiency Course Provider by the Education and Research Committee of the Academy of Laser Dentistry. Dr. Hudson will have the opportunity to translate curriculum standards and guidelines into viable courses for practitioners.
