Union State Bank's community efforts - Brief Article
For the seventh consecutive year, Union State Bank has donated $15,000 through the U.S.B. Foundation, Inc. to Good Samaritan Hospital as the event sponsor for the Hospital's annual Fall Golf Classic. Proceeds from this year's event will help fund staff training as Good Samaritan Hospital begins performing life-saving angioplasty procedures.
Held on September 29 at the Edgewood Country Club in Rivervale, N.J, this year's Fall Golf Classic drew more than 200 participants and raised nearly $200,000.
Charlie Sillery, senior vice president and chief of staff with Union State Bank, and Raymond J. Crotty, Sr., executive vice president and chief credit officer, presented the $15,000 check to Christine Palmer Maraia, executive vice president of Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation and Michael Schnieders, executive vice president/administrator.
"We are very pleased to once again be the event sponsor of this important fundraising event for Good Samaritan Hospital," said Sillery. "Union State Bank remains committed to supporting Good Samaritan Hospital in its mission to provide the highest quality health care for our region."

We truly appreciate Union State Bank's sustained generosity that carries on this tradition of community support, especially for such a vital service that will help to save lives," stated Maraia.
Located in Suffern, N.Y., Good Samaritan Hospital is a non-profit, 370-bed hospital providing emergency, medical, surgical, obstetrical/ gynecological and acute care services to residents of Rockland and southern Orange counties in New York and northern Bergen county in New Jersey.
The U.S.B. Foundation, Inc. supports organizations that enhance the quality of life in the community. It is a supporter of area hospitals such as Nyack Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital and Westchester Medical Center.
