APPLE VALLEY, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 29, 2004
NWA Federal Credit Union unveils a new division with a new look today when it opens its newest branch office at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. The new division, branded as Wings Financial Federal Credit Union, marks the start of the credit union's plans to expand its field of membership to include all people who work in, or have retired from, the U.S. air transportation industry.
"We're excited about this new office because it's conveniently located where many of our current and potential members work and travel," said Paul Parish, NWA Federal Credit Union president and CEO. "It's also exciting because it's the first time we've put out the welcome mat to people throughout the industry. We are confident that new members will be attracted by the same high level of service and quality that our current members have come to expect. We believe our new brand will appeal to a broad section of people working in the U.S. air transportation industry resulting in significant membership growth under the Wings Financial brand."
The first Wings Financial Federal Credit Union branch office is located in the transportation hub of the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, just east of the main terminal on the second level. In addition to its outstanding location, the new branch features the full array of banking services along with a 24-hour ATM immediately outside the office.
Parish stressed that all credit union members will be able to use NWA Federal Credit Union or Wings Financial Federal Credit Union facilities interchangeably. Parish also emphasized that the credit union's current and former Northwest Airlines employees, retirees and families will remain a focus for the credit union under the NWA Federal Credit Union brand.
NWA Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Apple Valley, Minnesota, is a member-owned, full-service financial institution founded in 1938.
