THE INTERNATIONAL FINANCE CORPORATION, the private-sector arm of the

World Bank, lent US$50 million to Banco ABN AMRO Real, a Brazilian bank, to finance family-owned businesses that improve corporate governance. The loan will also help growing companies comply with environmental standards.
