British Airways (www.britishairways.com) also is offering an excellent deal on its London Rocks packages, which include airfare, three nights at a three-star Jury's Inn Hotel, a ticket to either "Mamma Mia" or "Lion King" in the West End and a three-hour Rock 'n' Roll Legends tour. Prices start at $519 per person. Book by Oct. 15 for travel Oct. 28 through Dec. 15.

If the Emerald Isle beckons, go to www.ireland.com/travel and book a $499 package that includes air to Shannon or Dublin, a night at a hotel, five nights at Irish Farmhouse B&Bs and a car rental. The travel period is November through February.
