Makro cash and carry
German retailers expand in Poland - Makro Cash and Carry, Selgros - Brief Article
Makro and Selgros will invest some P1Z300m ([euro]79.7m) in Poland, planning to open two new outlets each this year. Makro Cash & Carry says it has some P1Z140m to spend on new facilities, whilst Selgros says it has P1Z150m at its disposal. Makro, operated by German giant Metro, did not open a new store last year, a statistic which has not occurred for many a year in Poland. Metro hopes to open stores at Czestochowa and Opole, with its compatriot firm Selgros opening its two new stores in Krakow and Warsaw.
