Instead of consolidating the cash pot for its latest contest into one grand prize, Anheuser-Busch took a democratic approach with its "Share The Cash" promotion.
"Share The Cash" was part of Bud Bowl 2003, A-B's annual Super Bowl campaign, and featured $500,000 prize money distributed in 33 cities.
One location was selected from each market and given $15,000 to be divided equally among all patrons of legal age. Just before halftime, winning locations were presented with the cash by members of a "prize patrol."
"The 'Share The Cash' sweepstakes brings the excitement of Bud Bowl directly to bar patrons on gameday," said Dan Hoffmann, Anheuser-Busch's director of retail sales promotion, in a recent press release.
