MARKHAM, Ont. -- Birde Marketing Inc. has announced the SP200 serial impact dot matrix printer from Star Micronics. The printer contains all the features necessary for basic point-of-sale applications including credit-card validation.
Features include a small footprint, standard RS-232C interface using a DB25 connector, and easy integration into existing systems. An integrated cash drawer driver helps maintain minimal system cost.
The SP200 prints 42 columns at 16 CPI at a speed of 2.5 lines per second. It uses three-inch wide roll paper and can print an original plus one copy. Pricing was not provided.
