Dye packs protect cash, foil robberies

1 Thursday was a quiet day at the credit union. Suddenly, two robbers enter Jackson (Miss.) VA Credit Union. They approach the teller line, and two tellers hand over their cash. A month later this scenario repeats itself in a neighboring state. In this instance, the credit union staff is ordered to the floor.

Cash inside the ATM cassette and the replenishment of ATM cassettes are targets for criminals. When located in the ATM, the Scorpion system will indelibly stain the cash inside the cassette in the event of pull-out attacks or when the cassette is illegally removed from the ATM.
