US finance house Munder Capital Management has launched a UK operation for its $1.5bn NetNet fund to provide capital for Internet-related businesses.
London-based Paul Cook, one of five portfolio managers for NetNet, is said to be looking at companies such as EasyNet, Cable & Wireless and BT, as well as any other companies seeking Internet-based development. Targeted companies include Internet service providers, hardware developers and search engines.
NetNet currently has net assets of almost $1.5bn, made up of 77 holdings with average market capitalisations of $28m, 69% of which are technology companies. They include AOL, Amazon.com, Dell Computer and Microsoft.
